About BUASA
The Baseball Umpires Association of South Australia was founded around 1930 and today is the representative body, social club and home to umpires throughout South Australia.
Over the years BUASA has held many roles often undertaking umpire management duties on behalf of Baseball SA and supporting the National Umpire Development Program.
Today the responsibility for Umpire Management and Development is securely under Baseball SA however BUASA provides a great deal of support and resources to ensure that umpires in South Australia have the best experience possible in our sport.
What does BUASA do right now?
Supports the BSA Officiating Officer for all functions around the Development of Umpiring in South AustraliaConvenes and holds a monthly meeting in and around the season for the function of association business and umpire developmentActs as a conduit for communication with BSA around treatment and conditions provided to umpires concerning BSA competitionsThis includes but is not limited to: The behaviour of players, coaches, spectators and club personnel Facilities at grounds Policies and playing conditions which affect umpiresProvides social functions and activities to umpires including
